Briggs and Stratton Flo-Jet Carb

I have an older Briggs engine, Model # 300424-0023-01-6908081, that's equipped with a large two piece Flo-Jet carburetor. Gas was leaking from around the nozzle at the nozzle seat where it passes through the inner wall of the carburetor. Upon inspection I determinrd the seat doesn't appear to be in very good condition. (tiny abrasions) Since that seat is not replaceable is there a way to resurface the contact area of the seat where it will form a seal with the nozzle? I would sure be grateful for any help, guidance or suggestions.
Thanks,
jwatts
